Telling the Story of a Climate Leader

Disney asked us to help tell the story of Ineza Umuhoza Grace, an eco-feminist and founder of The Green Protector, a youth-led non-profit in Rwanda. As a voice for climate justice and women-led change, Ineza is part of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

Our role was to bring her message to life through animation and film, capturing both the urgency of the climate crisis and the power of young women leading the way.

A child lies in bed pulling up a blanket as rain falls, surrounded by a dreamlike, underwater-like blue scene with a glowing lamp and a book on the nightstand.
A woman and three children stand before a glowing display of animal outlines, pointing and observing in a dimly lit, museum-like space.

Bringing Ineza’s Story to Life

We’ve worked with Ineza before and knew exactly how to bring her energy to the screen. Combining live-action footage with expressive, frame-by-frame animation, we created a seamless visual journey that captured both her personality and her message. Rotoscoped transitions connected film and illustration, while animated sequences brought her memories and mission to life. It was a joy to collaborate on a piece that celebrates the work of a powerful eco-feminist and climate leader.

A joyful woman with colorful braids listens to music on JBL headphones, smiling and singing outdoors, wearing beaded bracelets and a sleeveless top.
A woman holding a child reads a book, casting a superhero-like shadow on the wall, symbolizing empowerment, strength, and transformation through knowledge.
