Deloitte & Power2

Mental Health: Callum and Chloe

Animating with Purpose and Impact

Deloitte commissioned The Like Minded to create a charity animation for partner organisation Power2, a UK charity that supports teenagers facing challenges by pairing them with toddlers to build confidence, communication and emotional well-being.

The animation was designed to communicate Power2’s values, unique mentoring model and real-world impact. It needed to engage a broad audience including the public, educators, school leaders, nursery staff and local authorities, inspiring support and raising awareness.

Visualising Emotional Growth

To bring the Power2 story to life, we selected an illustration style that focused on the characters, keeping their emotional journey central. Colour palettes were carefully chosen to reflect shifting emotions, with saturation and hue changing at key moments of engagement in the Power2 programme.

A bespoke sound design subtly supported the movement and mood of each scene. These creative choices combined to form a compelling, emotionally resonant animation that effectively communicates the charity’s impact through accessible visual storytelling.

Hand-Painted Concept Art to Deepen Emotional Engagement

The concept art was developed using a hand-painted illustration style, featuring soft lines and a carefully limited colour palette. This visual approach evokes a dreamlike, memory-inspired atmosphere that draws viewers into the emotional world of the characters. The result is a deeper sense of immersion and connection, enhancing audience engagement through subtle, emotive design.
