UK Longitudinal Linkage Collaboration

Building Trust Through Transparency

The UK Longitudinal Linkage Collaboration (UKLLC) connects data from national research studies, NHS records and volunteer contributions to support COVID-19 and wider public health research. They created a national resource and asked us to develop an animation that would clearly explain how the collaboration works. The aim was to help the public understand how their data is used, why it matters, and how privacy is protected. The animation also needed to answer common questions, build trust and demonstrate how securely linked data can lead to meaningful insights that improve and potentially save lives across the UK.

Visualising Data Use with Clarity and Care

We produced a clear, informative animation for UKLLC to explain how linked health data is used to support important research. The animation outlines how data is collected, protected and shared only with approved researchers working on projects that benefit the public. It also answers common questions about privacy and access, helping to build trust and transparency. The result is an engaging explainer that highlights the value of UKLLC’s work and the positive impact of securely using data to improve lives.
