Communicating Findings on Social Research
We created an animation for NatCen Social Research, to communicate the key findings of their 2014 study ‘Smoking, Drinking & Drug Use among Young People in England’.
We created a key character (affectionately named ‘Nev’) to act as a presenter, along with a host of other characters: pupils, a family, and representatives from the government, charities and healthcare. We even included a dinosaur! Nev was designed to make the information more accessible to its audience; primarily school pupils age 11-14.
The video has been well received so far – with over 20,000 views on YouTube in total. It has also led to 10,000 unique page views of the study page on the NatCen website.
