Affected Cancer Patient
Challenge
Invitae harness genetic information to transform the way medicine is practised, such as with genetic testing. This method looks for genetic variants in our DNA to determine whether an individual is at risk of developing cancer.
Our challenge was to create an animation for patients that have been recommended for genetic testing.
Solution
Due to the nature of this project, it was a sensitive piece and something that needed to have a calming effect on the viewer. The blue colouring, soothing background music and slow moving animations were intentionally chosen to induce a relaxing effect amidst the discussion of a stressing subject. We took inspiration from the many small moving parts that make up our DNA structure to create a captivating animation.
